A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
"Empowerment Through Strength Training and Nutrition"
MY STORY
At 17, my journey into health and fitness began with my first pregnancy and a diagnosis of gestational diabetes. As a teenage mum with little understanding of nutrition and exercise, this wake-up call transformed not just my life but sparked a passion for helping other women, particularly wāhine Māori, on their health journeys.
Through my experience with gestational diabetes during two pregnancies, I learned firsthand the importance of understanding nutrition and exercise. This personal challenge, managed successfully during my second pregnancy, ignited my curiosity and led me to pursue a career in sports science and nutrition.
